About

I’m Fatih Subasi, based in London and working at Vodafone. My work is now entirely focused on AI: helping shape how we use it across the organisation and build solutions that solve real problems and create value.

AI and my work

I take an active role in exploring where AI can make a useful difference and helping the organisation decide what to build. My background in analytics, engineering and consulting keeps me focused on the problem we are trying to solve and whether a solution will be useful in practice.

That work is closely connected to my own curiosity. I follow the AI industry, try new tools and models, and run experiments to understand how they work. Things change quickly, and testing ideas for myself helps me form a view of what is useful, where the limitations are, and what deserves a closer look.

This site is a place to share what I learn along the way, alongside occasional writing about whatever else catches my interest.

How I got here

I’ve led AI, analytics and machine learning initiatives at Vodafone since 2014, with my work evolving from predictive modelling to generative AI.

Before Vodafone, I spent six years in management consultancy, working with pharmaceutical companies on strategy and commercial effectiveness.

I studied Mechatronics at Sabancı University, then completed an MBA in Engineering & Technology Management at Boğaziçi University. That combination of engineering and business still shapes how I approach my work.

Beyond the screen

I’m Turkish-born and live in London with my wife, Zeynep, and our daughter, Nil. I’ve developed a particular appreciation for the British spring, even more than a sweltering summer.

Outside work, I read plenty of non-fiction and follow my curiosity into long research detours. I enjoy tinkering with tech, following sport (more often than playing it) and experimenting in the kitchen.
